As teams interact with neighbours from around the globe, we are able to resource them with Bibles and discipleship resources in dozens of languages. We are grateful to the Canadian Bible Society for their generosity in partnership.
Our annual conference has been developed to encourage and equip the global MoveIn movement. Over the course of four days, MoveIn teams come together to receive teaching from global leaders, share stories of what God has done in their regions, build community around our common goals, and pray for vision for the coming year.
MoveIn S.E. Asia
South East Asia contains populous cities with some of the most poor neighbourhoods on the planet, the residents of whom have limited, if any, access to the gospel. After years of preparation, in 2015 we have begun planting seeds for the MoveIn vision by sending mobilization staff to start teams. We are inviting the Church (locally and globally) to consider the radical call to move into slums in this part of the world.
My sons, the world will expect you to lift many burdens
but I tell you, the strength of your arms is
to lift children, love the poor,
and embrace the weak;
strengthen your feeble arms but carry only the Light Load.
Somehow, in all of this darkness and brokenness and ugliness, Christ is here. I have found him more here than in the happy wholeness of before.
What is the point? Why am I even here? I’m just making things worse for everyone.
May my work today be for your worship, and the good of your creation. Redefine my idea of success for today. Make me a better worker.
Death before resurrection
That's the cycle; the schedule of events In life, inwardly and outwardly
To die so that we might live.
Sit in the dark with it 3 days, 3 nights
Passover the pain no more
And on the final day
Leave the grave clothes and grieving behind
And embrace Life.
Manuel and his family are still living in this community, not despite the danger, but because of it.
MoveIn’s European Vision Team is just three months old and it is already on the road mobilizing.
Uncomfortable with a God who would leave complete comfort
To comfort a dying, mourning world.
Uncomfortable with light stepping into darkness
With ultimate power being wrapped in the weakness of an infant.
With divinity being born of a woman’s flesh.
My city, has become one of the most violent areas in Guatemala. There are many gangs here; people get killed each day; kidnappings are common; there are lots of drug users as well as prostitution.
Buried down in my soul, though, there’s still an ember of hope. And something about reading the story of Moses in the Bible makes that ember burn white hot.
