That's the cycle; the schedule of events In life, inwardly and outwardly
To die so that we might live.
Sit in the dark with it 3 days, 3 nights
Passover the pain no more
And on the final day
Leave the grave clothes and grieving behind
And embrace Life.

Uncomfortable with a God who would leave complete comfort
To comfort a dying, mourning world.
Uncomfortable with light stepping into darkness
With ultimate power being wrapped in the weakness of an infant.
With divinity being born of a woman’s flesh.
My city, has become one of the most violent areas in Guatemala. There are many gangs here; people get killed each day; kidnappings are common; there are lots of drug users as well as prostitution.
Buried down in my soul, though, there’s still an ember of hope. And something about reading the story of Moses in the Bible makes that ember burn white hot.
Relieved morning mumbles of leftover fathers and mothers;
Heading to work or feed the baby, or back to sleep; grateful for teachers who teach a language that creates a wall between parent and child – a wall they hope to climb too, someday
We are excited to see how God is using something as simple as bread to reach multiple cultures and break down barriers.
