MoveIn is a movement of regular people.
We work regular jobs or study. We simply choose to live in a poor, urban neighbourhood to pray for the community with a team. We spend our free time (usually evenings and weekends) with our neighbours and over time, deep relationships begin to form.
We aren't formally trained for ministry but rather seek to reach out to neighbours in whatever ways we feel led. We are equipped at our annual MoveIner conference, and are encouraged by staying connected with the whole network of MoveIners. The MoveIn Vision Team (VT) organizes the conference and fosters connectivity for the movement. The VT also coach team leaders in the "patch".
Over time, living in a patch becomes "normal life". But really, to follow Jesus here is quite an adventure.
There are so many more poor, urban neighbourhoods with unreached peoples who need Christian presence. Will you consider moving into one of these neighbourhoods?
